it's been a while!!!!

So yes i have been neglecting my blog......


Well life in the Johnson home has been very busy over the past few months.....

In July brandon did his internship with an accounting firm in Phoenix called CBIZ. He enjoyed it. he really likes the firm and the people that work there. He was able to get lots of great experience.

In August we went on vacation to Sequoia National Park and Yosemite National Park. We had a great time. We camped for 5 nights and on our way home stopped in Vegas for 1 night to shower and sleep in a real bed. This was one of my most favorite vacations we have been on. There was so much to see and do and we both had a blast! i would highly recommend going there. it is a great family place. here are some pics from our trip....

September Brandon started his masters program. he is now almost half way finished. the program is done in 3 trimesters. He did very well in the 1st. he got 2 A+'s and 1 A. Brandon is amazing i don't know how he does it.


In October he did Interview Week. he interviewed with 4 Accounting firms. he got called back for 2nd interviews with 3 of them. And then was offered 2 jobs. Brandon Accepted a job with PWC(Price Waterhouse Copper)one of the big 4 accounting firms in the country. he will start work with them next fall. (yes they interview a year in advance. crazy) during the summer he is going to study and work on taking the CPA exam.


In November i did my 1st craft fair. it was so much fun. My Aunt Lisa hosted it at her house in Prescott Valley. I did pretty well for my 1st time. I definitely learned a lot. I am getting ready to do another one on Dec. 12th up in Prescott again. here are some pics of the 1st craft fair i did...

And just in case you didn't know.... I am Pregnant again... We are due July 2nd. 1 day before Brandon's birthday. We are very excited. i have had an ultrasound already and i got to see the heart beat. we couln't hear it yet. But last week I got to hear it at my appointment. Brandon and i are very excited and can't wait.

Brandon's Graduation!

Brandon Graduated from ASU with a bachelor of Science in Accounting. I am so proud of how well he did in school. He is amazing! so here are some pics from the big day!

Wow it has been a While!

ok so yes i haven't blogged in FOREVER! and no i have no explaination....

We have been a bit busy.

March 10th

i found out i needed surgery. so they sched me the next week. i had the surgery on thursday the 19th. i was very nervouse because like most dumb people i started looking stuff up online about the procedure and read all the worst possible senarios. word of advise don't ever do that. anywho... i am doing much better and everything went great. that weekend i lived in our recliner and watched ALOT of movies. i think i averaged 4 a day. lets just say i think i am movied out! well i guess not too much cuz i am watching a movie as i am writing this. lol here is a list of all the movies i watched that weekend and yes i know this is rediculoso:50 first dates, Mr. magoriums wonder imporium, pirates of the carabean, the time machine, my best friends wedding, iron man, transformers, australia, the holiday, death defying acts, better off dead, must love dogs, liar liar, failure to launch, guess who, somethings gotta give, elizabeth town, hitch, twilight, and last holiday. wow that was pretty pathetic....;>

i did get some beautiful flowers from family and friends this weekend here are some pics. i think i love flowers! but what girl doesn't.













so the same weekend this lovely surgery happened my cousin Brookie and her husband Brookie came down from Utah to bless their baby. his name is Owen. here is a pic of him and I after his blessing. he is so adorable.










March 26th

i am the enrichment leader in my ward and we had our Relief Society Birthday Celebration today. We had a great time. one of the girls on my committe used to work at a bakery and she made the most adorable mini cupcakes for desert. here are some pics of that and the activity.

April 4th

so i got a fever and it lasted 41/2 days. yep i got the flu. and no i guess i can't catch a break. i was out of work for an entire week. and i slept more than i can ever remember sleeping. i am all better now thank heaven.

April 20th

i became Brace Face again. yes i got braces on. i work at a dental office in Gilbert and the Orthodontist that we refer to offers free Braces for our staff. and since i look more closely at my teeth than i ever did before i want them perfect. i guess it is the pressure of the job;> so i hopefully wont have to wear them for very long.. we will see....

so enough about me.....

now i can talk about Brandon

He is getting ready for GRADUATION!!!!!!

President Borak Obama is speaking at ASU's Graduation. I think this is very exciting. How often do you get to hear the President of the United States speak. in person. like NEVER. so My Mom. Brandon's Parents, His little brother and my Grandma will be going with me to watch the graduation. and don't worry i won't wait over a month to blog about it.

So i think that is it for an update about us. Hope everyone is doing well!

Bragging about Brandon!

okay so i feel like i might brag a little too much about Brandon but.... i have too because 1. he won't do it himself. he has some sort of problem talking about himself(a problem everyone knows i don't have! lol) and 2. because he is so awesome!

So on Friday Brandon took the GMAT exam. Brandon took it so he could apply for a scholorship, because the scholorship requires it. the test is scored from 200-800. brandon told me that above 700 and below 300 are uncommon. and Brandon got a 720. he is in the top 5% of anyone who has taken the test. I am so proud of him. He is such a smartie pants but i love it. he is amazing!

Oak Creek Canyon!

For valentines Day this year brandon and i decided to go on a camping trip. For christmas we bought ourselves camping stuff so we figured we should test it all out. well little did we know that a huge snow storm was coming our way the week before we were to leave. so we got a little worried that we wouldn't be able to drive to our campsite. we decided to go anyway. we had a lot of fun. But was it cold! we had to go buy me toe warmers because my toes kept freezing. we now have a list of things to buy for snow camping;) we will be better prepared next time.
our campsite was great we want to plan another trip and bring a group up so if anyone is interested in going on a group caming trip let me know.
anyway we had so much fun.

superbowl party

we went to Joann and Dan's house for the superbowl. it was very fun. my mom got there a little late but she did manage to win the halftime pot. Go Mom! anyway we were bumbed that the Cards didn't pull off a win but they sure did give the steelers a run for their money. here are some pics from the night.

Masters Here we come!

So we got some exciting news this week. Brandon got accepted into the Masters program at ASU's WP Carey School of Business. i am so proud of him and all the hard work he has done. He will gradate this May with his Bachelors degree in Accounting. then he will have a 6 week internship this summer with CBIZ (an accounting firm in Phx), and then he will start the masters program in the fall. i am so excited for him to almost be done! he has worked so hard over the past couple years. and he has accomplished some great things. I love you Brand!

And the other fun news is... we got a New CAR!!!! hallelujah! we got a 2008 Nissan Altima! it is black. this is pretty much the car i have wanted for a while. so knock on wood but hopefully this is the end of MY bad luck with cars. hehe

work x-mas party in Jamuay

we had our work party this year in january b/c everyone was so busy this year. we went to the spa friday and then saturday we went to dinner at City Hall steakhouse in Scottsdale.(it is right across the street from scottsdale fashion square) and after dinner we went to the Tempe improv. we all had a great time. Dinner was amazing and we all had some good laughs at the improve. here are some pics from dinner.

SPA DAY!

For Christmas the Dr i work for gives us a day at the spa. this year we went to Sanctuary. it is the same place that Jennifer Aniston, Brittney Spears, and Alicia Keys goes to. It was wonderful. we got there at 8am and went to a dance cardio class. it was fun. then we went and changed into our robes. we all waited in the lounge until we were called back for our treatments. Amy and i both had a manicure and pedicure first. after that i had about an hour until my next treatment which was a facial. while we waited we ordered some appitizers.then i had my facial. After the facial we all met back in the lounge and ate lunch. after lunch we had some time before our next treatment so Amy and I went into the steam room. That was funny experience, Amy turned this nob on the outside of the steam room b/c she thought it was the timer(like on a jacuzzie) but we learned the hard way that it was the temp gauge. lets just say it looked like i got a perm.(and my hair is straight) it was so hot in there! i hurried and took a shower befoer they called me back for my next treatment. i then had my massage. which was heavenly. i can't remember the last time i had a great massage like that. then about 10 min after that was the last treatment which was a full body scrub. that was amazing also. my skin felt like a baby's bottom. I had a great day at the spa. i just wish i could go a lot more often. here are a couple pics of us

My BiRtHdAy!

Dec. 23rd

A birthday to remember.....for more reasons than 1.

My BIRTHDAY! it was my golden birthday this year. i turned 23 on the 23rd. i didn't do too much for my birthday i never do b/c it is too close to xmas and we are always so busy running around. Patrick the Dr i work for did take our office out for lunch to celebrate my birthday. we went to Catina Loredo out at the San Tan mall. it was very good. i will definitally go back again. it was cool they brought out a sparkler on my brownie. as you can see by my face i have never seen one before. (i don't know how to rotate this)
we had a great time even though 30 min before we left brandon called me and said the car had just broke down. ya i know the story of my life ;>

so when we got back from lunch my mom and i drove out to where brandon had left the car so we could have AAA come and tow it somewhere to be fixed. except for one miner detail. i didn'e have the keys. (brandon had taken them to work. oops!) so after everything we got the car towed and on the way back to work realized that i had left gifts in the car for a family my office and my mom's office had purchased christmas gifts for this year. so i dropped my mom off at work and drove back and got the gifts. thank goodness i remembered them.
i got back to work and realized i only had an hour left. holy cow i didn't get much done today. it doesn't help when your not there. oh well, crap happens!

my father-in-law picked me up from work and let brandon and i use his car because we were going to be delivering gifts to the family that my office and my mom's office bought christmas for. so i hurried and picked up brandon from work. and we got home and dressed up. finnished wrapping some of the gifts and headed out the door looking like this...

we unloaded all the presents on the porch and knocked on the door. the dad answered the door and was a little surprised to see santa.

this was such a neat experience for me. i was a little sad that only 1 of the 4 kids were home but. the little girl was so excited. it was amazing. here is a pic of the family...

afterward we went home changed and brandon took me out for dinner. we went to chilli's. and then we went over to my nannie and papitos house because they had offered to le tus use their car so we would be able to go to prescott for christmas. so we got the car then went home.
